Wow! I'm just back from an incredible trip to Ireland, where I had the privilege of participating in the Irish Steel Guitar Association show. Wow (did I say that already?) What a great time! I made so many new friends from Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Germany, elsewhere in Europe and even the good ole USofA. The players were all excellent, the backup band had studied the charts and did a great job and the whole show was very, very professionally run and the camaraderie and "craic" couldn't have been better. My wife Jane, our son Jaji, and I want to thank everyone for making us feel so welcome in Ireland; it was really a peak experience for us all to be with you and we hope to return again some future year.

Hi Jim

Nice to see that you got back OK.

Even though I was only there on Saturday, I enjoyed your set. Also, I was very impressed with your sons playing on the alto sax.

hi Jim,
I would like to agree with Clive, I had never heard Jim's playing before but it was a real pleasure and they were such a nice family too, I think I can sum up Jim's playing 'Mr Smooth'

Hi Jim,
It was great hearing you live again. And in a more personal performance than at ISGC,
since you are much closer to the audience in Drogheda.

I got a much better sense of your pedal and lever usage etc.

I will second or third all sentiments above.

2 fine sets from you, and it was nice to sit and have so many interesting conversations with you, Jane and Jaji, very wide ranging in subjects too.

Jaji did great on sax, and it was nice to see him up on his own in the jam on the final night,
playing with the oldsters on his own and not with dad in tow.

And Chippy and Alan were fun to hang with too.
I didn't meet Clive this time... at least I don't THINK so. too bad.
