Went to see Ryan Adams in New York tonight at the Beacon Theatre. What a special surprise to see Cindy Cashdollar playing steel/dobro/etc. with him. She is awesome.
When Ryan played "Be My Winding Wheel",
Cindy played such a cool solo.....everybody noticed ! She played some great solos throughout the night, but that one stood out.
If you get a chance to see Ryan with Cindy
on steel, don't miss it.

I missed the show in Austin and have been kicking myself sense. I am a Ryan Adams nut. Especially the stuff with him on acoustic, with some steal and dobro. Did he play. "Oh My Sweet Carolina?"

His first solo record, Heartbreaker, is a gem. Recorded in Nashville for Chicago's Bloodshot Records. He's had his moments since, but nothing as consistent as this first effort. And yes, Sweet Carolina is on there with EmmyLou.

Bart,
Yes, he did play Sweet Carolina. Got a huge ovation from the crowd too.
He did a lot of acoustic type stuff, which
left some room for Cindy to be heard.
She also had the "melo-bar" (if that's what you call it). Definitely a treat for me
and all Ryan Adams fans.

Brian,
You are right about Heartbreaker. Great CD!
He ended the show with "Come Pick Me Up" and let the crowd come and sing on stage with him. Wild night !!
