This Epiphone 'Electar' on eBay made me curious,- it has one pickup but three pots?
One volume, one tone, and.......? What's the deal? On/off switch for auto applause?
It's not like I'm gonna lose any sleep over this, just curious.

And while I'm at it, there's an 'Avalon' in there which seems to have a built-in 'ashtray' or something.... Is it the capacitors in the hole under the strings?

Please enlighten me....

The AVALON appears to have enjoyed better days....mighty rough appearance. I wonder who manufactured it and when ? If it could talk, I'm sure it would have an interesting story to tell!

The third control on the Model M was called a "Rhythm Control", and it was a short-lived feature (about 1 year) and produced a "double-reed type of tone which is a very pleasing and desirable effect", according to a company letter to dealers in 1937.

With a few sensible alterations, that thing could be a tone monster, if it ain't already.
