I would like to say thank you to Russ Hicks,Bob Knight and his son Allan for a great nite at Smeraldos. The biggest thank you for letting me sit in and play a few songs (after more than two years of not playing)to dear friend of mine Bobbe Seymour. Here are few picks from the last nite.Russ,Bob and Allan had to leave so Bob didn`t have a chanse to play for us but maybe next weekend. We hope.
some great pickin` on the Emmons and Webb by Russ Hicks
Bobbe playing his heart out (and sounded awesome as always)
I was lucky enough to have a privilage toplay a few songs with the "BIG" guys.I felt like I never played before in my life. After years of not playing this was little to much for me.But I survived.
Thanks again to all the pickers and non-pickers for a great time.

I also would like to thank Russ Hicks and all the players for coming to the "Jam". Russ played his typical incredible style and his humor was also up to par! As ever!
But I'm most of all, very greatful to Damir Besic for playing since I've known him forever and never really heard him play. His "Promat" steel guitar was incredible sounding and his playing was very good, and I mean much better than my usual "acceptable" apprasals. I was really pretty shocked to learn that my good friend was such a great steel player. I should have known!
This "Jam" will also be continuing next Friday and Saturday nights. 9:00 'till 2:00.
Any steel players that can be there, be sure to bring your steel and picks. Or at least your picks!
Let's have fun and turn this into a weekly kind of thing forever! The place is great, good backup band, great food, and safe area with great parking.
Gallatin Rd.,Madison, TN, (northern part of Nashville).

Bobbe,
since the first day I met you I was in your store like a kid in the candy store. You always had a big smile on your face for me and a free strings or a video or CD or I can`t even remember how many presents I got from you my friend.I never tought nothing special about my playing,it is and always was something I did because I loved to do it and I always try to do it from my heart. For me the music was always on the first place and after and only after that money. When I can`t feel the music or it becomes empty feeling I stop.I never tried to sound like anyone else but I always tried to sound like me.Thank you very much for your support and positive critics,I`m blessed to have you for a friend and enjoy every visit with you.You are the real thing and first class Nashville steel player and I`m just someone who enjoy listening to you.I,again, realy appretiate your friendship and support in the past years and hope that our frienship will continue in the years to come.
Sincerely,your friend Damir
ps
maybe one day we`ll even take that flight we keep talking about .. |

Just got the word, Smeraldo's is closed.
There will be no steel "Jams" there this weekend or any other weekend. The crowd last weekend was to little, to late it seems. Nice place too.
Anyone planning to join us this weekend will also be dissapointed, so we'll look for another place to have our "Weekly Jams".
Thank you guys for the support and interest many of you have shown in this weekly steel guitar activity.
