Hi all, I thought I might have better luck in this forum. I recently got back into the steel after so long and am pickin it back up again. Anyone know where or how I can get a copy of the CD that comes with the newer version of Winnie Winstons book "Pedal Steel Guitar"? I found my older copy of the book minus the Floppy LP that it came with.

Someone on the forum might be able to make you a copy. Oak publications is still in business, anmd the book is still in print, so they might be able to help. Sorry I don't hsve an address.
Thery might be found under "Music Sales" of which Oak is a part. They are in Westchester County, NY.

If you are interested, and if Mr. Winston doesn't mind, I can put up some mp3s of the whole cd somewhere to download. That way you can have them on your computer, or burn them on CD or whatever you want.

I mean, you obviously own an original copy, so it's not really illegal. Your actually entitled to make one backup copy of any copyrighted material you own incase something like this happens.

let me know...

First:
I don't mind. If you wanted to xerox the BOOK, I'd mind (since it is still in print), but the music without the book is pretty useless.
That said...
It isn't MY copyright-- for what that is worth.

I got a couple of more E-mails regarding these CD tracks. Apparently many of you have "lost" or "misplaced" ( ) your original copy!

Anyway, any of you who are interested can e-mail me with the subject winston cd to get more info.

By the way, mr. Winston, how come the copyright for the tracks isn't yours? does it belong to the publishing company or something? Just curious...

Winnie; Hardly anybody does the photocopy route anymore. Nowadays it's scan it into the PC into a .pdf file, and then send it to everybody via e-mail.

New generation books also state "thow shalt not make digital representations"
