A steel player friend of mine that I play music with had all of his gear stolen. If anyone sees any of this gear come up for sale anywhere could you contact him? Thanks!

Property Stolen from 5201 Fairway Drive, between 1:15 AM & 9:00 AM July 11, 2004. Police Report was filed with San Angelo Police Department at 9:30 AM, July 11, 2004.

1987- Mullen Double 10 String Pedal Steel Guitar; 8 pedals, 6 knee levers; Original color was a turquoise blue. Paint has faded some to a bluish green color. Is signed on undercarriage by Lloyd Maines, Herby Wallace, Johnny Gimble, Marcia Ball, & Johnny Bush (To Leon: Please Don’t Take It Away) Value of Guitar is $4,500

This guitar is in a Red Anvil Case. Serial # on case is B-183237. Case is covered in stickers including EXPLOSIVE, Clearwater, NDC, Keep Farming Profitable, & Production Credit Association underneath the EXPLOSIVE sticker. Case has wear & tear on it, but is specially built for this guitar. Value of Case $600

2003 Model Peavey Nashville 1000 Amplifier; SN#50320711; Weight 59#; Value of Amplifier $700; Amplifier was in a black roadcase on wheels with chrome hardware; Value of Road Case $165
In rear of Peavey amplifier was a 20’ Prolink Monster Cable valued at $30. Also included was a power strip bar valued at $15 and a small tool carrying case with wire cutters, pliers, and screwdrivers valued at $50.

1- Aluminum Hand Rubber Wheeled Hand Dolly valued at $100.

2003 “Steeler’s Choice” Pro-1 Sidekick Pack Seat valued at $240. It is a SK-202 Standard Model with Lumbar Back Support. Color of the seat is black with royal blue cloth. The contents of the Pack Seat Include the Following:
Boss RV-3 Digital Reverb Unit with AC adapter. Value of this is $150.
CBI cables; 2- 10’ cables tied together (one red stripe & one black stripe) & one red stripe 10’ cable valued at $120
Three Lawrence guitar cables valued at $50.
Korg CA-30 chromatic tuner valued at $25.
Miscellaneous string sets valued at $75. There are a couple of sets of Cobra Coil steel guitar strings, a couple of packages of .011 gauge strings, & several individual strings. Also a string winder.
Dunlop 7/8”X 3 ¼” Stainless Steel Bar. Valued at $40. Bar is inscribed with Leon Langley on end of bar. This bar was in a brown/white calfhide round zip pouch with miscellaneous finger & thumb picks. Value of picks & pouch $30.
Goodrich Volume Pedal valued at $150. This pedal is inscribed with Leon Langley, Route 2, Box 71 Big Spring, Texas & DL#06379320
Various small tools including wire pliers and tuning wrench valued at $30.
Pack Seat also contains various bills of sales from Caldwell Music Company for the Monster Cable & Korg Tuner. It also has amplifier booklet for Nashville 1000 amplifier.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'll certainly keep an eye out for anyone trying to sell any of this equipment. I know how Leon must feel. I've had some equipment stolen in the past, and it's not a good feeling. Wouldn't you like to get your hands on whoever did this?

Back to the top......I talked to Leon at lunch today, and he still doesn't have any leads on his stolen equipment. I sure hope it turns up.
