I will be traveling to Nashville w/the Gunsmoke Band to do a song or 2 on the Midnite Jamboree on July 31st, and we are wanting to catch some great live country music/steel guitar while we're there. Can anyone give us a "heads up" as to what is happening that weekend? We heard something about the Derailers playing that Saturday but aren't sure where they are either. Thanks in advance for the help!

July 30th, Paul Burch is playing the Opry Plaza which is right in front of the Opry house. He does kind of Jazzy Hank Williams meets Hank Snow and Bob Wills with a light touch of Beatle harmony and chord structure.

Hey Chris, thanks for the info. Are you and BR549 going to be around that weekend, even jamming somewhere?
And Russ, I haven't seen you since the Norwalk,CT P.S.G.A. show in 2002. It will be great to talk to you and Laney again and to hear you pick and sing. Man, this trip just keeps getting better and better!

Hey Scott,

Have a great trip to one of my old home towns! And continued success back in Connecticut.

If Gabe's is still open, you must go to that fine pickin' parlor on the hill. Ask any local .... Sometimes there's a jam or audition in the afternoon there that's fun.

You got that right about Smiley being "old School" The key word here is "Old". Smiley remembers when dirt was just dust.
