I agree it's a beauty. It won't last too long if previous auctions are any indication. The other EH-150 also up for auction reached $650.00 but didn't match the seller's reserve.

These eh-150s get big pricetags, they are nice, if you want to spend a bit less, I will be selling one of my 2 eh-100s a 37 and a 38, they are very similar but have the square-ended charlie christian pickup.
tbese pickups sound the same, spool is shaped different and is cream-white color.
original h.s. cases VG+ condition, tobacco sunburst w/non-screw-on back.
500 for the '38, or 600 for the '37 which has cooler florentine fingerboard end like the eh-150

Congrats, Bill. You saved me the agony of bidding and waiting.
Were these ever made with 7 strings? That would be so cool!!

Congrats, Bill. You saved me from doing a "Buy it Now" while you were thinking about it.
EH-150s were available with 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 strings. And both George Gruhn and Chas Smith have mentioned a 13-string model ... does anyone have a picture? |

That's a beautiful guitar. I have 2 of them, one is in about the same condition as the one on eBay, the other was slightly abused physically. Both play well. Those Christian p/u's are really something! |

Congrats, these sound really cool. The short scale and wide spacing is nice for slants, I like this scale-length best.
I would give my left you-know-what for an 8 string eh-100 or eh-150. I'm restoring one that was missing keys and a pickup. Im taking the liberty of using upscale keys and knobs/pots as the instrument will be a player and the original parts aren't available.[This message was edited by Chuck Fisher on 26 November 2003 at 03:56 PM.] |
