Is Koos still recording? What an awesome player! I love the clips that Jelle Biel and Henry post!! I can't get enough of it. I listen to them over and over.
How about it? Anymore Koos fans out there?
Respectfully,
Dave Burr |

Ah, Dave, we meet again! Count me in as a big fan of Koos Biel....I just wish he wouldn't kiss me whenever we see each other (not often enough anymore, I'm afraid).... [This message was edited by Tommy Detamore on 16 July 2004 at 09:28 AM.] |

Thanks for the reply Tommy. Do you know if he still plays? Would love to hear more of Koos!!!
Tommy, Be sure to keep us informed when your going to be playing around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area... I definitely want to slip over and hear you play. Three of my heroes that I've yet to see are You, Dicky O. and Bobby Flores. You guys play it just like my ears want to hear it!
Respectfully,

Koos was of course a Buddy Emmons protege'.
I met Koos in the 70's when Scotty introduced him to the fans at the ole Chase Park Plaza ISGC in Stlouis. Later on that weekend I had the pleasure of watching Koos play "Blue Jade" as Buddy sat next to him on the stage; with Buddy's classic and in this case approving grin.
I applaud Koos for his dedication and (I believe) endless hours of practice to refine his allegiance to the world's greatest player.
May Jesus bless Koos and his brother Jelie Biel. And all of you,
carl |
