That was Gary Morse. The instrument is the RGS [resonator guitar simulator] commonly called the CatCan. I have a question posted a little further down
on this board for Gary about this.
I have one of these, but I don't think I can make it sound like he can!

I thought it was a great show. The mix and musicianship was outstanding for a live show.

Me too, I think we need to support all our steel pickin' brothers regardless of what we think of the musical content.
Remember, they are trying to make a living at what they do and don't have the options of sitting in the living room complaining about how they don't like the music and not gonna play it. Not that they would. Most of these folks, like Gary, are very forward thinking and innovative. The music is challenging and I admire them greatly for coming up
with these great ideas.

Don't know for sure. These were designed and built by Duane Marrs of Sho-Bud fame back in the 80's, 90's. He has a website listed somewhere on the Links Directory. He can tell you for sure. They actually have a cat food can in the chamber to act as a resonator. The standard tuning is G... 135,135 same as an acoustic resonator. I was never able to replicate the acoustic sound of the resonator and of late have been tuning down to D and using it for rock and blues, but after hearing Gary, I'm gonna have to re-evaluate the G tuning on it and the instrument in general.
