I bought the new Bobby Bowman CD "Pure and Simple" Wow. I think this album has more soul than anything I've heard in a lot of years. I mean this thing is right up there with Jimmy Day's stuff.

Bobby plays his heart out on this album and the soul put in to the steel comes right through the speakers.

Ya'll gotta get this CD.

Just speaking the truth my brother. This CD is a must for any steel player or anyone who enjoys great music played with more soul than anything I've heard in 20 years.

I'm gonna call you for a gig one day soon. I know you thought I was BS'n but I ain't.

I agree Jeff... He's also a pretty fair mechanic. Just make sure he takes the horseshoe down if plan on going to see him.

Bobby's set in Dallas was a musical treat. I can still hear his version of Danny Boy.

Jeff and all,
About the "horse shoe" thing,,,,Don, at about 6'6" or even more, will be "scratching his head" for a while over (or should that be "under"?) the horse shoe.
I have a real horse shoe nailed above the door into my shop. It hangs down about a half inch below the door opening. I didn't think to tell Don about it as he came into the shop. Needless to say, it wasn't a very lucky horse shoe for Don. Man, I felt so sorry for him. He just about ripped his head off when his forehead hit that thing. He was seeing stars for quiet a while.
Don is one heck of a fine person and one of the truley great steel pickers.

I heard Bobby play down in Florida at one of Larry Self's shows. And I will tell you without any hestitation, Bobby is one incredible player. He has a tone to die for. And He KNOWS how to play that steel guitar.

If you want to hear some outstanding playing, order anything he records. You will not be dissapointed.

May Jesus richly bless this talented man, and may he bless all of you always,

I get a big grin on my face everytime I see Bobby's CD mentioned. I have had the pleasure of having this CD long enough to know that it is one of my favorites and stays in regular rotation in my CD player. If you want "a lesson in playing what the public wants and expects to hear" out of pedal steel guitar, buy this CD. The title of it is: "Pure and Simple". The answers to many of a steel guitarist's most frustrating questions are just that.
Way to go "B-Man"!

The mail run has already happened today. Besides, it's really stormin' around here right now. If it lets up, I'll try to run over to the post office this afternoon. Otherwise, it'll go out tomorrow, Wednesday.
Thanks a bunch and I hope you'll enjoy. If not, it comes with a "money back guarantee" !

Hey Guys, I have Bobby's new CD,..it's good and country, sweet and smooth, good tone and good selections. I enjoy a good touch, and Bobby has it. I learned all I could from Bobby when I was just a little kid. I sure miss seeing him and Toni, but I think we'll see them for the Nashville jam on 7-6. Bobby, you take care, we'll see you soon. Ron
