My copy arrived on Tuesday. The CD cover and title are most fitting! Great composition in the photo. Now, to the music – Since I’m not a musician, it’s hard to critique in those terms, so I’ll stick with layman terminology. Wonderful project filled with heart-wrenching pedal (and lap) steel guitar, saxophone, and the glorious voices of Sara Scott and Orville Johnson. Wayfaring Stranger and Lean on Me will remind you that these musicians were divinely orchestrated to take us to another level. I had to take a “time out” after Way Over Yonder just to cleanse my palate (so to speak) in time to savor Lean On Me. Will The Circle Be Unbroken left me paralyzed with emotion. And, when you reach the last cut, In the Morning When I Rise, it’s like taking a cool shower after running a marathon.
Thank you, Dan! It's exhilaratingly lovely to the soul!
