Did a festival in MI yesterday and Gretchen Wilson was on the bill. Gaylon Mathews was sounding mighty fine. Nice guy too. Sounds like he has a busy schedule coming up.

Ain't he fine? He reminds me of the time many many years ago when Gene O'Neal and I were driving down a road in Nashville and A brand new Ray Price recording played on the radio.

Both Gene and I were just in awe at Buddy's playing. I said, "Gene, how in this world did he do that?"

Gene looked at me and said, "JES fine!!"

Well that is how it is with Gaylon, he has the touch. May Jesus nurture that touch and "fine" tune is place on the way to "greatness".

David,

What a pleasure it was to meet you and get to hear you play live. It was also great to have one of my old Atlanta buddys Randy Sorrells on the show. Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure we'll be on other shows together again soon. Right now we're busier than a set of jumper cables at a redneck wedding....so it's on to another town!
