Dave Musgrave played a tune on the "Four Of A Kind" album called "In The Valley". Does anyone know what kind of device he used to get that doubling sound? Thanks to all.

I know that Dave was using a Profex II at the time he recorded that song. I will ask him if he used any other equipment when he recorded it

I've not heard the song,so this is gonna be kind of,an assumption. If Dave was, indeed, using a ProFex II,he may have been using the program called,"Fifth Down" (program # 109) The reason I'm assuming it is,because Emmons had a song on one of his albums called,"Triple Play",in which he used a DigiTech "Smart Shift",which did the same thing. Someone, please, correct me,if I'm wrong.

Recently saw and heard Dave play at the Siloam Springs steel show. It was great to see Dave playing and feeling so well after having fought through some severe health problems the last few years.

I can't remember the name of it as it is in storage pending the completion of my new music room, but I found an old 33 RPM album recorded by Dave that has some super playing on it. Hope to see it re-released on CD if that is possible.

I can blame Dave Musgrave for getting me hooked on this infernal instrument. Around 1972 he was travelling with Shot Jackson demonstrating Sho Bud guitars at fairs, etc. They made a stop at the Tulsa State Fair and I had no idea such music could come from a steel guitar. I was already trying to learn a few things, but this was the first really good player I ever heard in person. After that I bought all the steel guitar records I could find and tried to emulate them. Even after more than 30 years, I'm still hooked.

In 73 Dave and Shot came to Pensacola Fl. and and demoed ShoBud guitars. I ordered one that day, guess that is why IAM PLAYING SHO-BUD today he was great.

Talked with Dave tonight. He said that on that song, he went straight into the board with a push pull Emmons guitar. He said they used an Alesis unit in the mix, a bad one he said jokingly
