This will be the 5th consecutive year that I have had a booth at the Fan Fair for Classic Country and Bluegrass. Two years ago we featured Don Helms and John Hughey who signed autographs for about an hour for the fans.
About 20,000 fans attend the Fan Fair each year.
I would like to feature some of the great sidemen again this year in the booth.
Of course, I would love to have Buddy Emmons and Don Helms signing together.
Don has told me that he would like to sign again if his schedule permits.
Can anyone get info to Buddy to see if he might be interested?
Most of these big country stars of today and about all of them from the past would be nowhere if it hadn't been for the steel guitar.
Like Earl Scrugg's banjo in bluegrass, Buddy E., Don Helms, Jimmy Day and several others were the backbone of true Classic Country music sound.
Let me know if you have any ideas.
