Sunday on CBS, there was a program that was a tribute to Arnold Palmer, broadcast prior to the final round coverage of the Heritage Classic Tournament. I enjoyed watching some of the highlights of Arnie's career.
Toward the end of the show, they showed a clip of Arnie and Tiger Woods, who were playing in the same group, at the Augusta National Par-3 Tournament this year. Tiger made a hole-in-one. Great cheers, celebration, etc. Then, the old master, Arnie, teed it up and hit his ball to within about 3 feet of the hole. Even greater cheers from the crowd.
For that segment of the show, the background music was the solo by Lloyd Green on Alan Jackson's hit, "Remember When". They actually "spliced" it so that the entire solo played through TWICE.
It was a moving tribute to Arnold Palmer, and made even more moving and emotional with the masterful playing of Lloyd Green.
