Can't express how sorry I am for Mr. Newman's family. I didn't know the man personally, but he helped me with his work getting to learn to play.
We are all poorer for this, and a talent and a light goes from us. |

How could a guy with so much life go so soon? Condolences to Fran Newman. Yes, indeed, Jeff will be missed by those of us who knew him and future steel guitarists who will meet him via his steel guitar courses and music. Tasteful player, outstanding teacher, and a real character. steve |

Jeff Newman contributed so much to the careers of so many of us its immeasurable. He made learning to play pedal steel guitar so much fun and so cool. He held our hands and babied us through the rough times with this instrument. I made many life-long friendships at the Newman Seminars. Rest in peace, Jeff. Don McClellan |
