...I wouldn't be a steel guitar player. It is really that simple. Jeff made sense out of a really complex instrument and taught it in such a way that there could be a high degree of success in learning it in a short amount of time. Otherwise I wouldn't have pursued it.

I can't thank him enough.

The term "crying steel guitar" just took on a new meaning for me.

In my close association the pass years with Jeff Newman I will sorely miss him as a steel player\teacher and friend. Thru his great teaching techiques he has made me a better steel player.
