All home now and happy, happy! Picked up my personal effects friday and now have my steel with me here in beautiful Orlando!!!

Ricky, it amazes me to see where some of our fellow forumites are living. I remember seeing your posts and thinking to myself that you must be the only steel player in a thousand mile radius from where you were living. Its great that this forum kept you connected to other like minded ( and not, LOL) steel players. Welcome back to the States, may lots of great gigs come your way!

Ricky, were you an employee of the US Gov't during your stay in the far reaches of the middle of nowhere?

I've tried to figure it out from your past posts but to no avail. Was this a military assignment?

I was a radar engineer/supervisor for a gov't contractor. Now I'm back playing strictly engineer.

FYI - Ascension is 8 degrees below the equator, halfway between south America and Africa.
