If I were still selling albums, this is one I would stock. I have all of Bobbe's previous albums. Depending on your tastes, this just might be his best to date. My only complaint, and I told Bobbe this, I just wanted to hear more and more of his playing. I must commend him on this live performance. I know how difficult it is to record live, knowing you can't go back over a track and correct little things is nerve-wracking. But, there are very few of these on this album. I certainly give this album two thumbs up. ...Tom

Bobbe has always been one of the very best players in Nashville. We both played in Printer's Alley in the good old days. Bobbe's playing has always amazed me. When Bobbe was playing in Printer's Alley the audience watched him--NOT THE SINGER!

Bobbe's been plugging it on his mailing list.
I don't see it on his web site yet.

Hey Bobbe!!! Tell the folks about it!

The liner notes are worth the price of the CD.

Yup. Just got Mine. FANTASTIC! That Delbert Mc C Band too, is the BEST.

The liner notes by "The Steel Guitar Historian" pretty much tell the whole story. I seem to think a guy like that is on the SGHOF board...

No matter how it comes out, Bobbe has played a LOT of GREAT stuff, and "sh**bird" that in some petty circles he is touted as being, for selling them guitars they never learned to tune, (and sold at a profit themselves,) hiring their exes, saying that certain sterile sounding guitars are overpriced, or whatever reason I want him and EVERYBODY to know he's become one of my best buddies. Through no fault of his own.

I've never hauled a trac hoe for him, and he's never sold me a Steel Guitar. I'd haul a 240 Catterpillar Trac Hoe down Lower Broadway with NO Chains for FREE for him should he decide he wanted one there. He'd have to figger out what to do with it after that..

I'd be PROUD to be considered "One of his Flock".

So shoot me, as they say..

Thanks for the GREAT Music Bobbe!

Next the "Bobbe Behind Bars" with catgut strings I presume.

Count me IN!

EJL

Bobbe says there will soon be a website with up to date details of the law suite. Make sense to me, since the info is public record.

Oh, and b0b:

If you don't know where to get one, you're not allowed there.

If you have to ask how much, you can't afford it.

(Just kidding )

Boy, what a shock this post is to me! I haven't had time to look at this forum in a while and these postings by my obviously great friends, some of whom I have never met face to face, is very uplifting and satisfying.

Eric, Jeff, Keith, Joey, TBHenery, Reggie,Damir Pat, Tom, and all of you that have e-mailed me that may not wish to be mentioned, thank you very much.

I will also be sending a few thousand copies to my good friend Bobby Lee, he is a good friend to all of us. After all, what would we do without him and this forum?

The CD is a "live" recording, after being suggested by some of Nashville's steel players and several other musicians to do this CD as a way to get some funds to help pay the lawyers.

Everyones mental and finantual help is much loved and appreciated. It shows me just what a great family us steel players are. I recieve hundreds of e-mails a day expressing support for me and this cause. Many from new steel players I have never heard from before. Is this a great country or what!

This CD was recorded live in Nashville and I was blessed with the backup musicians from one of the greatest, soulful bands in the country.

This CD will also be promoted over seas by a European label.

One thing I'd like to thank Bobby Lee for is his insperation in encouraging me to write my own songs. He scolded me a couple of years ago for recording "the same old songs" that everyone else does, that have been recorded to death. This constructional critisisum was much appreciated, and I heeded it. All songs were written to make the CD very interesting. Even down to the Car race at the end, and the enevitable crash.

I'd like to thank the musicians that inspired me to do this CD, The studio mix time, and the duplication plant and not to forget Larry Dever's time and effort in doing the photgraphy, CD art work and layout. Yes, some folks think his effort alone is worth the price of the CD!

Wow, I have so many people to thank, but most of all, you great steel players that are behind me all the way. Many of you are my great Texas friends, how can I not love Texas?

Keep those e-mails coming. I can't thank you all enough.

In speaking with Bobbe, I learned that this CD was in the making. I have been anxiously awaiting its release! Just ordered mine!
I will say that Bobbe has been a true friend to many of us within the steel guitar community. I know this to be a "fact"!
I personaly feel that my purchase of this CD is a statement expressing four things:
1. My desire to hear the latest recording of one of the great players/promoters of our instrument.
2. My desire to show my support of Bobbe in this legal situation.
3. My "right" to "choose" the music and instruments I discuss and purchase/or not.
4. My "want it" just kicked in!

It's hard to believe anyone could disagree with that.

Just got my copy of the CD and it's truly wonderful. I've heard it said that Bobbe is the "Ambassador of Steel Guitar" and the "Chord King", and I have to say that I agree. Good luck, Bobbe, and thanks for the great CD.
