.....if you want to. This is a steel turnaround I did on a Micheal McKnight song, "If Jesus Had Not Come To Me", sung by Keri Zachery. The steel is my 1979 Push-Pull Emmons with stock pickup. It was about the best tone I could get, going direct to the board. Quality isn't great as I copied it from a cassette tape.
All complaints graciously accepted! http://www.thunderandglory.com/forum/Reggie.mp3

Thanks for the positive comments. I hope to do an album in the not too distant future. I am not usually satisfied enough with my playing to submit too much!

Sweet! How are things down in McComb, Reggie. I grew up in North Miss. and Jackson, and have kin in Monticello. I miss Miss. every day up here in one of those big Northern cities.

Hey Reggie,
Top notch (as usual).
When you do get around to doing an
album, make sure to put me at the

Should be excellent!

Reggie, I always lived in North Miss. (Indianola, Oxford, Tupelo) and my South Miss. kin are getting pretty distant now. My grandmother was a Buford from Monticello, and as a kid I also met my greatgrandmother Buford from there.

I'll tell you two stories from that part of the family. During the Civil War, once that area was captured they quartered Yankee soldiers in civilian homes. One of the guys who staid in the home of one of my great grand's fell in love with her. After the war he moved back there and married her. His family was scandalized because he moved South, and hers was because she married a damnYankee. At another point in history one of my ancesters there was a Sheriff, who had many notches on his pistol grip.

Nowadays my Mom and sister live in Slidell, LA, and I only pass over South Mississippi in a plane when I visit. The drive would kill me. My Dad was living in Slidell when he passed away a few years ago. But he wanted to be buried back in Miss. So they found a nice spot beside a little country church near Picayune, MS. He was a Methodist preacher, and I'm sure he is happy with that spot.

How come everybody else can play so much better than I can ???

I think you-all are cheating !!

It's beautiful, Reggie....
Please don't stop shareing these clips.

I copy each and everyone that you post and work on it. You have no idea how much it helps us to make that REAL impression when we do a "rip" of one of your signature rides !!

Please don't stop showing us how it's suppose to be done.

Reggie: Surely this should be tabbed out and saved for posterity or those who may hear it in the future and wonder how you did such an inspirational turn around. It sounds like tumbling water over rocks in a clear mountain stream.

John Hughey called; he wants his lick back.

Just kidding, Man. Slicker than green owl deposits on a creek rock.
