Just caught a glimpse of a band featuring a PSG lead playing Auld Lang Syne on the Today Show. I just caught the last couple of bars so I have no details at all but it was NOT a country band, sounded like sacred steel goes secular. The Today Show web site has no info and Katie C. won't answer the phone.
Great to see the instrument getting some attention outside of N-ville. |

I caught the show with Robert Randolph and his "FESSY" Even though he did not perform on Steel as many of us "Oldies" see Steel, It now gives us an opportunity to get people "STEEL" aware regardless of music played. Let,s take advantage of the situation and encourage more people to "STEEL". ED Naylor Steel Guitar Works |

It's great to see, the first steel on National TV in 2004 (that I'm aware of) was a Fessenden. Now that Tommy White is also finally playing a Fessenden, it gives Jerry the exposure he deserves to have,by seeing great players, playing a great steel. |
