Here's a quick C6 solo version of Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song" that I made for anyone who wants to take the time to download it. It's not as spectacular as Jeff's, but its my way of wishing everyone a Happy Holiday Season.

Excellent, Jerry! I've always loved what little I've been able to hear of your playing ... any chance of an album sometime soon?

... or do you have something out that I've missed?

Thank you all for the kind words. One of my new year's resolutions is to dust off the steel and try to make some progress as a player. Many thanks for the motivation, and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Jerry,
As I've told you before, my mother never says much about my music, but she's just about worn out any recording of you I've ever given her. Happy Holidays to you and yours,
-John

For all of us wannabe c6th players something this good is almost depressing.

Jerry, that is without doubt, some of the nicest, smoothest playing I've EVER heard! I especially love the manner in which you incorporated that really LOW NOTE throughout.
Great stuff and I too agree, it's about time you put YOUR music on a CD so the rest of us can enjoy your exceptionaly fine work.
I could listen to him for hours.
Come on Jerry.........some more please.

Aw, Shucks, guys... It wasn't much, really, but thank you very much for your comments. For those interested in technical details, it was a '96 Carter with True Tone pickups, through a Digitech Genesis 3 processor. The signal was taken out dry through the S/PDIF digital out (monitoring the effects live, though). Recorded on a Mac G4 with MOTU Digital Performer. The reverb is the e-verb plug-in that comes with Digital Performer.

Really tasty playing there, Jerry, and an awesome tone as usual from your Carter.
