I was at the show, and it was pure magic.
Roseland holds about 1000 people - it was packed.
The crowd was diverse.
Robert Randolph has tremendous charisma.
The band is also very high energy.

People were mesmerized for 2 hours by this guy.
He's very good with the Wah- one of his best numbers was "Purple Haze"
He also covered a Led Zepplin tune- Good Times Bad Times.
Billie Jean, the Michael Jackson tune was done toung in cheek.

Extraordinary energy and a whole lot of people standing for hours to listen ( no seats at Roseland) Also a pee poor PA- but I heard no one complaining

As David said, Roseland was PACKED !!.. People from all ages and all walks of life were having the time of their lives !!...Rudolph went from tune to tune with barely a break in between with the energy of a teenager !!..His licks were great, and his finger speed is unbelieveable ...The Family Band was also very good and did a great job backing him...Last time I saw him he was playing a Sierra, and last night he was playing a Fessy !!.. He was so into one tune he was playing that he picked up the steel, and put it behind his head and played it like Jimi Hendrix use to do !!..Great Show !!..High energy !!.. People like Randolph will be the future of the pedal steel ...The swing, country, and jazz will always be the root's of pedal steel that started it all .....Jim
