Lloyd definitely deserves it!
We all could need a few more of these "hauntingly beautiful" solos. No wonder that solos like that catch the ears of listeners who are not so familiar with the sound of the Steel Guitar. What they got to hear in the last years was always the same pattern, not much more than one bar in the background. Individual style and personal taste of the player was not in demand.
Maybe Lloyd or the other great stylists like Buddy, Paul, Hal and John are giving some more chances to play just what they feel needs to be played!
