I was reading another post and it made me think......

If I shave my head, will I be able to play like David Wright?

And David, I went to a book meeting the other day - Oklahoma is up for new math textbooks next year. I swear I saw you at the meeting selling the books. I asked the guy if he know you. Looked just like you but a little smaller. Same hairless top with the same goatee.

Gary, I'm surprised it's taken you this long to figure that out! Why, ALL of the really cool players will soon be sporting the chrome dome. Just ask Jim Cohen. He's working on it as we speak!

I don't think having David's hair style will be enough.... you probably also need an MSA Millenuim and a red pickup truck. Oh, yeah, plus a boxcar load of talent. That'll do it!

Famous quotes from past Steel Guitar Conventions:

" Hey, nice haircut... "

- David Wright to John Steele, Dallas, 2000.

Thought I forgot about that, huh D?

Looking forward to seeing you in March.
In the meantime, Jeff Evans, Tim McGraw and I are hanging out in the chat room at ClearerHeadsPrevail.com. Drop in.

Shave your dome, then apply three coats of gloss black lacquer, sanding lightly between coats.
They say this makes any steel better, so why not give it a shot.

John,
I didn't forget .....

D.Cobb,
I think my good buddy Jim Cohen tried that, but I think he needed to sand better between coats !! then he will get "The" Dome..

If I thought that shaving my head would get me to play like David, I'd spend all my time in front of the mirror and y'all could be making a small killing trading in Gillette stock.

Overheard at the last Dallas Jamboree: "Herb just missed that lick, didn't he?" Reply: "Yeah, but what a nice head of hair that boy has."
