Gas money to Bakersfield $30, Ray Price tickets $90, Beer $20, fancy dinner with wife $45, Hotel $75, listening to Danny's playing PRICELESS. I guess "priceless" might be a poor choice of words since he was playing with Ray Price, but Danny is a terrific player. He had the Mooney stuff covered, did a bunch of great jazzy C6 stuff, wonderful tone, he's got it all. I'm inspired, gonna practice all day.

Not only a great player but a very fast talker. He talked me out of my blue thumb pick after the first show. It was a great show and the entire band was right on the money. Hard to believe how great Ray's voice still sounds. By the way, Danny had a brand new Rosewood Emmons. He said it was his fourth gig with it...rj
