Music stores, Des Moines/Quad Cities/KCMO area?

I have a friend coming over from France for a couple of weeks, and he's looking for some Fender amp parts. Anyone know of any good/interesting stores for a weekend trip?

Now take a deep breath here......he's also accomplished with the bagpipes and a store with them would be the icing on the cake.

If you are going to be in KCMO it would probably be worth your time to stop into the Musicians Friend Outlet Store. You can pick up anything they sell in the Catalog(they just grab it from the wharehouse for you).
They also have lots of returned items, and scratch and dent items(and they also have a nice collection of junk and broken equipment, if your into tinkering).

I'm not really sure of any stores with Bagpipes. But the Mountain Music Store in Mission, KS(a suburb on the KS side of KC) is well known for having a wide variety of Acoustic and World Music Instruments. If your interested I can give you directions to both.
