I just got a 2 disc cd on the Proper label,
"Moon Mullican-I'll Sail My Ship Alone" with steel pioneer Bob Dunn all over it.

The man plays crazy syncopated swing solos and has a very raunchy tone.

I read that there's a compilation of his stuff, anyone know?

Bob Dunn's work with Milton Brown and his Musical Brownies is available on CD. He used a Martin or a Mexican guitar (whose strings had to be magnetized before each performance) through a Volutone amplifier. Amazon has a CD package called "Daddy of Western Swing" with a lot of dunn's best work. He also played guitar and trombone and was influenced primarily by jazz trombonist, Jack Teagarden.
