This song demonstrates the depth of the Six String (non pedal) Hawaiian guitar. A
very famous Spanish classical Guitar Solo composed by Tarrega. I chose to use the Leavitt tuning to show that in addition to jazz chords it is usefull also for even Spanish music. Song # 18 at my site as follows. I am indebted to Ron Turner for his help. http://www.clictab.com/royt/lesson_series.htm [This message was edited by Roy Thomson on 24 September 2003 at 05:25 PM.] |

Nice, Roy!
I love to hear Spanish sounds on the steel!
Santo and Johnny did a Latin album...the name of which escapes me right now. I have it somewhere in my closet...."Mucho", maybe?
As usual, your tone and "attack" is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your tab and talent with us!

Roy,
If I could get a tone like you do, I wojld be happier than one could fathom. I simply love to hear you play.
Thank you dear friend, for your incredible contributions to those of us that can only dream when it comes to the world's most beautiful instrument. You are indeed blessed. I do hope you never forget to thank Jesus for what he has endowed you with.

Beautiful, Roy. You have the gift of seeming to caress a melody. |

Very nice. I always thought that intro was from Malaguena. |

You are very right Howard. The Intro was
my idea to insert for effect.
Receurdos is Spanish for "Memories" and the composer was very homesick for his native Spain.
Thanks for listening.

Graham,
Musically I think we are on the same
wave lenght and that is evident when I listen
to samples of YOUR playing on your Web site.
It is really something to be able to share our music and learn from one another no matter where we live in the world.
We owe so much to b0b and this Forum, and yes Carl,,,,the GOOD LORD.... we talk every day...and I thank HIM from the bottom of my heart.
I am very gratefull for all encouragement and support received from others who listen to my work and post and email from time to time.
