Hey, saw Gary in the Ole Miss Grove tonight (9/2 with Dierks Bentley. Super! Out front when appropriate. Great, tasteful licks. Best stuff I've heard in a long while. Terrific stage presence.
Thanks Gary.
PS Dierks was pretty good, too.

James....thanks for the positive feedback regarding the show last night. This gig with Dierks has turned out to be a steel player's dream come true. All of the players in the band are strong and I particularly enjoy working off our lead player Rod Janzen who is one of my favorites. Be sure and say hello if we roll through there again.......Gary |

The dobro player in the video was the same player who played the parts on the cd.....Randy
Kohrs. He has some of his own cd's for sale online and in select stores and I highly recommend picking all of them up. |

Add to that a gig He played at Jubitz Truck Stop with the DB Band. That Electric Marrs Dobro is sure a leg up on anything like it that I've heard.
GREAT Player, super person. Beautiful '69 Sho~Bud. Worn just the right amount.
And I was about to get a "new" guitar...
"What was I thinking?"
Being in the band that played the rest of the night wasn't my idea of heaven after watching and hearing him. The band took my car keys, or I'd have just crawled out, gone home and not even thought of getting up.. though I have to admit, it worked out better than I/we thought.
He was very kind, disagreed pleasantly with my self-proclaimed "hackdom" and we talked a lot of "Sho~Bud", and "pickups". His L 710s sure sounded great to me, as well as his two Nashville 400/Pod6 setup.
Fine band, FINE Bass player, and GREAT guitar player.
LOVED those Waylon covers.
Glad I met him.
Hope to again. Maybe on my planned Nov trip to Nvl for a couple days.
Maybe I can get Bobbe S to take a 20,000$ cashier's check from an Oregon bank for an old Sho~Bud...
