Hi Forumites,
Most of you know me from my jazz playing and "Jeff's Jazz" web page. I also play regularly with the Mary Lamont Band, an alt-country/Americana band. She has just released her second cd titled "How Lucky" that prominently features my E9 playing on almost every song. The tunes are a mixture of rock-a-billy, blues, gospel, and straight-up country with catchy melodies, down-to-earth lyrics, and many interesting twists and turns in the arrangements. If you'd like to order a copy of "How Lucky", click below.

This is an excelent set of recordings, Jeff played it for some of us the other day. Jeff's inserted some really interesting and original E9th ideas which one can sense have origins in both traditional E9th and also his incredible jazz thinking. At the same time his fills are tasty and well gauged to the (excelent) singer. Recommended!.......Rob Segal |

I agree. I heard a cut or two and there is some interesting stuff there.
And the young lady has a nice voice too.
It wasn't ready when I was there so I couldn't get a copy.
I have heard some of Jeff's irish/ fdiddle tune music and it's cool too. |
