I would like to specially thank Smiley Roberts for picking me up at 5 am thurs the 28th when I arrived in Nashville.Making room for me at his house,Driving me to St Louis (well I drove for obvious reasons.Anyone who has driven with Smiley understands). Sharing a room with me,introducing me too everyone, and I mean everyone. For all the great pictures he took of me with Buddy,Loydd,Russ, laney,Jerry,Hal,Walter Haynes, JD and that stop in Metropolis Illinois where I posed with Superman. And when we got back to Nashville we went out to see Gene "Pappy" Merritt play western Swing down on Lower broadway then on to the Station Inn where we enjoyed the Time Jumpers Nashvilles best happening. Then at 1 am he drove me too the station for my return trip home.He made it possible for me to get a multi track recorder at a phenominal price and took me to where I got supplies at a bargain. No one puts themselves out for a friend more than this guy.I hope to return the favor as I have the guest house ready for a stay as long as you like Smiles. Thanks old buddy lets do it again in Dallas.Only don't invite that foul smellin,Flatuence dropper, snoring drunk Will Pickit .
