I feel depressed today and here are my reasons:

1 - I'm not at St Louis this weekend for the I.S.G.C..
2 - I'm not in St Louis hear all the great steel playing that's going on.
3 - I'm not in St Louis to meet and talk with all the wonderful "steel people".
4 - I'm not in St Louis to see all the vender displays for steel guitar products.
5 - I'm not in St Louis to see the D-10 Carter steel guitar that I'm dying to buy.
6 - I'm not in St Louis to buy that D-10 with free shipping and a free Peavey Nashville 112 amp. God, now I'm really depressed!!!
7 - I'm not in St Louis; I'm in Charlotte NC. Don't get me wrong - I love Charlotte, it's a great city, but I'm not in St Louis this weekend.

Am I the only one that's depressed?

geez, thanks for reminding me. I was ok with staying home in the back yard, cooking burgers, waiting for a West Nile skeeter to bite me till you said something

Look at it this way, with SteelRadio you can listen to most if not all of the show. Also, because most everyone has gone to St. Louis, the gigs are overflowing!

Thanks for the input guys - this was really intended as more of a fun post rather then a "cry in the night for help". I will, never the less, be making my plans early this time and I will make it to St Louis next year. Whereever you are, I wish you a happy and safe Labor Day weekend.

I didn't make it this year because I have too many things happening. I have spent so much time in ANIMAL RESCUE I have to make choices. Even though I can't go I have had many animals 'STEEL" my heart out this year. Maybe next year. Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works

I can't go. My wife wouldn't understand, my daughter wouldn't understand, my dog wouldn't understand (the cats are cool with it though....). Instead of saving vacation time & $ for the event I'll be painting my house. During the darkness hours I'll be pickin' apart some John Hughey licks from several Vince Gill CD's (boy, they're tough too). Thank goodness for Transkriber...

I certainly hope all the attendees have a good time and take out a moment of silence for those of us who can only be there in spirit!

Oops, just broke the third string again... gotta go.

I couldn't go either, guys. Workin' on a big government contract in my day job with tough deadlines. Who but government bureaucrats would schedule tight deadlines at the end of August? Maybe next year.

I was awakened just this morning and offered the opportunity to ride along with a friend to St.Louis today! I declined the invitation this time! I've never attended the ISGC, and don't plan to until Jody Carver is invited!
