The October Guitar One magazine has a one page Randolph write-up - it mentions that he won the Handy Award for best new artist and says "Randolph's sensational debut, the aptly titled 'Unclassified', exceeds all expectations." It mentions his church to jam-band transition and positive message. The most interesting thing to me was equipment: he uses a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier amp and a Shubb/Pearce bar. From watching Letterman and the two times I've seen his video, it looks to me like he gets most of his notes from pedals rather than bar movement, anyway.

Debut? Where have they been?

There are now two Robert Randolph CDs in the Forum Catalog. I thought The Word was his 'debut'.
