Ok folks, last night I heard a Jim Reeves tune on XM-13. Steel player sounded just like the steel behind a late 50's early 60's Billy Walker tune that I think is named "Faded Lights and Lonely People" (which I still have on vinyl but it's pretty scratched up).

Can anybody tell me who the steel player was?

Thanks for the help. This is for posterity.

Hi Ray. Bobby Garrett and Jimmy Day played on most of Jim's recordings. Bobby Garrett was the only steel player Jim Reeves liked. Jim said that all steel players have brain damage. He fired Bobby as many times as the rest of us, but he thought a lot of Bobby. Jody.
