Just got dobro and I'm going to get a dvd for beginners (from the forums own Orville Johnson).
I'll probably want to get some in person lessons, too. Is there anyone around Seattle? I also visit cousins around Salem, OR, on weekends. If you know of anybody, let me know.
Thanks |

How about Orville himself?? He's in Seattle.
He is a great teacher. I took a 5 day intensive dobro course at a Puget Sound Guitar Workshop camp about five years ago from him, it was a blast and I learned more than I ever have about an instrument.

I talked to him the other night at the show. He said he doesn't really do private lessons (or maybe just not for total newbies). He did tell me about the dvd, but I also want someone to correct hand position and anything else I don't know I'm doing wrong. |
