Call me stupid, (I heard that!), but ever since I've been hanging around the Forum, I have been trying to remember where I had heard the name "Bobbe Seymour" before.
Pardon me, but I grew up in the Nothwest, and spent the last 16 years in Texas, before moving here to Arkansas, and I'm afraid that I never became familiar with a lot of the famous, and infamous players in steel guitar history. The Forum has allowed me to get up to speed, somewhat, in that area.
I did, however, spend some time in Nashville in 1977, so after digging through my scrapbook, I finally found it. I don't remember much about this picture, other than it was Fender showcase, in one of the fancy Hotel/Motel's downtown Nashville. We were on pretty early in the morning, I think, and we were plenty nervous, which may account for the amnesia. I wish that I could remember if I heard Bobbe play it or not, but that was a lifetime ago.

That's the guitar! I didn't play with that group but was with the Fender staff studio band that went on just before these guys did. (and right after)
Nashville, Hermitage Hotel, 1976.
Yes, that guitar is in your living room Greg. It was also on my "Steel Guitar Favorites " album. Strange wonderful tone.
