Anyone there to give us a play-by-play commentary of who's there, what they brought, and how they compare? And boy, some pics would be great for those of us who can't be there!
Thanks,
DD

Just got back from St. Louis two hours ago. I was there Friday evening and all day Saturday.

Our Hawaiian room was a big success (I'll detail that in another posting).

Reso wise... Beard Guitars had a booth. The always friendly, extremeley knowledgable company rep Chet Hogue manned the booth where he displayed the new Mike Auldrige model 8 string reso. Mike demoed the guitar for an hour or so on Saturday. Cindy Cashdollar also stopped by and played the various models on display for an hour or two. Beard displayed about 8 different models.

Player wise, Doug Smith played his dobro in the Hawaiian room. There may have been a few players on the main stage but I mostly spent my time at the vendors booth and the H room.

Scotty's is not really reso-heaven. Lots and lots of pedals.

Terry Miller played hid 7-string ShoBro on stage backing Donna Darlene and Shotsie jackson on vocals. Very nice indeed.

Mike Auldrgidge very graciously gave me a long interview on Saturday, taking precious time away from his convention activities. We mostly spoke about his recording career and the new Beard Auldridge model. Look for it soon in an upcoming Pedal Steel.US magazine. What a gentleman!
