Hi Paul
Thank you for your input to my post. I agree with all you said about Curly Chalker and your mention of Bobby Garrett. Both great players. To anyone wishing to read these comments look at the Hank Thompson post.

I too would like to read some of your articles and interviews from the Frets magazine. I noticed that you now live in Macon GA, not to far from me. I played a few gigs in Macon at a club called the Scarlett Garter. I was there on 3 different occassions with 3 different artist, David Rogers, Jim Single & Sammy Tucker. Thank for your response to my question about the steel player on Mark Of A Heel. Great steel work by whomever. It could be Chalker, Garrett or Rivera. All of them worked with Hank Thompson.

Charlie: Thank you for the kind words ! I think Eddie Thomas, another local steel player has told me about seeing you here in Macon and they were very complimentary words as well, I might add. E-mail me your snail mail address when you get a chance.

There seems to be a flurry of comments about my writings from those long ago days but I'm not quite sure what is happening. Maybe someone will tell me if anything serious is going on.

Regards, Paul

Tom Bradshaw has printed Paul"s writings in the old Fender Frets magazine, called "PUSHIN' PEDALS" .

I used to read every one of them.

Forum Members, Contact Tom and see if he still has the book for sale. Well worth getting!

Thanks Paul for writing all those years.

There wasn't much out there in those days relating to steel guitar and we appreciated the articles that you wrote....al
