Peter - we have a good female player in the UK called Sarah Jory. Is she any good? She should be - I taught her to play. It would be great to see a few more ladies coming through and taking up the instrument.

Seriously, there are a substancial number of female players around, topped off in my view by Barbara Mandrell. http://www.barbara-mandrell.com/

Hope you are getting you ZB up together.

Isn't Cindy Cashdollar here? Not sure about, Barbera Mandrell being on the forum, but she plays. There's a nice irish colleen who picks, and a certain lady in the family way right now. Must be many more.

For starts there's the queen of the forum, Joan Cox, plus Susan Alcorn, the afore-mentioned Donna Hammett and Sarah Jory, and of course our new member Melinda. Then there's Deloris Hancock, Janice Zilm, Margie Mays, and Hawaiian steelers Marjory Scott and Lorene Ruymar. There are undoubtedly more.

You can certainly punch up Joannie Cox as a super picker and if you had ever heard Cindy Cashdollar with Asleep at the Wheel, you've heard the best.

I just checked out Donna Hammett's web site. How many of us remember her as a teenager at Scotty's? She'd be around 31 now, and has matured into a fine looking young woman, while most of the rest of is have become fat old men.
