Just heard yesterday that he's either retired from the Branson scene, or is about to. Do not know if true, but I trust my source, who said he talked to Tom recently. |

I just can't see Tom retiring but he just well may be doing that. His show is great and Tom is a talanted guy for sure.
There are several steelers in Branson. can't recall names but most groups are using one. have a good time

Tom is only taking a short intermission from doing some shows everyone. News will be forthcoming on his next event soon though. |

I want to jump in here on this subject, and when Tom sees this, I'm sure he will respond. Tom is NOT retiring, that I can tell you for sure...Tom will make his announcement when he feels it's time to do so.

Hello Bowie,
At this time, The Brumley show is not performing at the 76 Music Hall where they have been for many years. I did talk to Tom before the end of their run and he did have some things in the works out of Branson. Since I have heard conflicting reports of those, I will refrain from commenting as to not add to the confusion. But Tom will not be (to my knowledge) be performing anywhere in Branson next week.
If you want to hear some great steel players, here are the ones I recommend:
Dean Holman/ Down Home Country Show/ 76 Mall (Grand Country) 2pm Mon-Sat
and Moe Bandy Show/ Majestic Theatre 8pm ?-?
Terry Bethel/ Paul Harris Show/ Caravell Theatre 2&8pm or 3&8pm (not sure)
Gene Mulvaney/ Country Tonite/ Fri-Wed 3&8pm
Danny Yancey/ The Grand Jubilee/ 76 Mall (Grand Country) 3:30&8pm
Don Reed/ Presley's Jubilee/ Mon-Sat 8pm
Roger Blevins/ Baldknobbers/ Mon-Sat 8pm
Phil Koontz/ White House Theatre/ unsure of show and times
Greg Moody/ Silver Dollar City/ Echo Hollow Show at Park closing time
Joey Riley/ Mickey Gilley Theatre/ 8pm unsure of days
Yours truly/ Michael T. Hermsmeyer/ Sunday Gospel Jubilee and Ozark Mountain Jubilee/ 76 Mall (Grand Country) Sunday only 2pm and 7pm respectively/ (pedal steel and other instruments)
Also Hank Williams Remembered/ Owens Theatre Downtown Branson/ MTW&F 2pm (All non pedal steel, fiddle and guitar parts)
My morning show "Here Come The Cowboys" (formerly "Cowboys, Heroes and Friends") opens April 21/ The Sons of the Pioneers Theatre/ Mon-Sat 10am
Have a great time while you are here. If you have any questions when you get here, I'm in the book.
God Bless,
Michael T.
