Come to think about it, I believe it might have been 1990 or 1991.

Lloyd signed my cassette copy. I think he is a favorite steel player of all of us guys and dolls!

GOD bless ya!

Bill

Again here is what some of what I know about it.

-Lloyd wrote 7 of the 10 songs.
-Produced for LGP Records by Lloyd
Green and Nils Tuxen.
-Recorded at The Nils Tuxen Inn, Hamburg,
Germany.
-Steel Guitar by Lloyd Green and all other
instruments played by Nils Tuxen.

Lloyd signed my copy on December 20, 1991.

I don't think he would mind that I share his comments that he wrote inside; so here goes.

"December 20, 1991

To Terry Wood,
I hope you will when listening to this tape, remember that it was recorded with not only steel players in mind, but listeners who may be unfamiliar with the instrument. Thus it is done in a melody way with, I hope, good tone and execution of some of the ideas I had recently been exploring. But always in a listenable fashion.

Regards,

Lloyd Green"

That says alot about the man and his love for the instrument we all love so much!
He is without exception one of the best of all steel guitar players, besides he's an informed individual, and a heck of a nice guy to boot.

And as all can tell when listening to this he sure met the challenge, fit all the comments as a labor of love for him.

May GOD bless you!

Hi Terry...I don't have the CD personally. My friend Tom McDonald let me borrow it. The challenge is he's getting sooooooo old he can't remember where he bought it! HA (Maybe he will even forget he borrowed it to me!!!!)

Lloyd's tone and execution is just so great as usual.

I was one of the first ones to hear a tape of this recording.
Lloyd was kind and invited me to his hotel room in Drammen, Norway in Eastern 1991 to listen to the tape of the session.

This was just a few days after he was finshed in studio.

In fact I loaned him my tape recorder:-)
Lloyd used his JCH on this Cd.

I was totally knocked out of his version of Crazy - what a feeling he can put in a song.

This was the first time I met Lloyd. What a truly great guy he is and what a fantastic kindness he showed to us all over here.

This is one of my highlights in my steel playing career.

I've been thouroughly enjoying this CD for a couple of years. Got mine from Bruce Heffner, don't think he has anymore.

I sure wish that Lloyd Green would release another CD. We need as many Lloyd Green CD's in this world as he can record. His incredible talent needs as much documentation for posterity as possible!

If you were only allowed to list the top 5 PSG players in the world, he would surely be there. So original, so beautiful to listen to!

Can't heep enough praise on Lloyd Green. Really hope to hear him in person some day.

Regards,
HH
