Had a great time last night listening to Don Ricketson and Jeff Weber and the Flying Cowboys (it' a pilot thing). The Wurst Halle in New Braunfels is an acoustic nightmare concrete walls, narrow, and a metal roof but these guys were awesome. Lots of good country music. Don kills on the C6. The Mullen was swingin' all night.

I used to work with Jeff Weber @ the Bluebonnet Palace. I'm probably the bad influence that caused him to get his pilot's license. Jeff's a talented boy and plays real country music. |

I worked with Jeff and Tommy Burney's band at the Leon Springs Dance Hall this past January. Jeff can sure sing those old Western Swing tunes. (and a lot of other stuff too). I had a great time and I'm looking forward to doing it again soon. I'll be playing the Junction Rodeo dance with Tommy Burney on May 16. I don't know for sure, but I imagine Jeff will be with him. If any of you can make it out, I'd love to meet you and visit. |

Bob,
Haven't met you, but I grew up in Menard and knew Tommy B way back when. Tell him I said "hey". Would like to come up and catch all you guys picking some time. You may know another good friend on mine from Llano - Billy Proctor.
Speaking of Junction Rodeo dances - that brings back some memories from my teenage years.

The only thing I can add is that Don didn't bring any cabrito from Cooper's. But he's forgiven. Jeff is a very good singer and he does like good country music. The whole band was great.

Thanks Milton, I appreaciate the flowers. Jeff Webber and I got along real good. We have something in common besides music. We're both private pilots so we had lots to talk about. He's a super performer and that was my first time playing with him. It was a pleasure. I've known Tommy since dirt and Billy Proctor that Gary mentioned is one of my best friends in the world. Next time I'll bring the Cabrito from Coopers

Haha CC. Naw, Jess is too heavy for my Cessna 150. We'll probably come in his Dodge P.U. with the extra heavy duty rear end spring package and geared down, whatever, ratio transmission. Just so we can get there by noon on thursday.
