Hey Folks! Just got the schedule for the 2003 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. RR is booked on the big stage Fri. 5/2/03.

There are usually more bands w/ PSG on the Fais Do Do stage, but I didnt look too closely. Maybe someone else out there can check the fest website and hep us to any other booked bands w/ PSG. Who knows, maybe a few of you forumites are even playing.

Here are some of the other big names. But if you have ever made it down for the fest, you should be well aware that the true magic, is discovering all of the hundred of awesome band that you have never heard of.

1st. Wkend hilights:
Lucinda Williams, Dylan, Gatemouth, Galactic, CSN, Buckwheat Zydeco, Dr, John, Joe Cocker, Ornette Coleman,

2nd Wkend:
Sonny Landreth, N. MS Allstars, Ben Harper, Los Lobos, Robert Randolph, Marcia Ball, Beausoleill, Widespread Panic, Mavis Staples, Funky Meters, Pete Fountain, Neville Bros., Radiators, Buddy Guy, the O'jays

The coolest night time show is Dylan W/ Lucinda.

Any of you guys plannin on makin the trip? Maybe we could hook up for a beer!

Hey Matt, I'll be there for the first weekend. Keb Mo will be playing, but unfortunately, I won't get to see Ben Harper. Fortunately, I've seen Robert Randolph about 4 times, so he can use a break from me.

I also see that on the first Friday or Saturday, there will be a interview at the clubhouse with Don Helms. I wonder who he will be playing with?

The interviews and discussions are as wonderful as the music.

Matt, it would be a pleasure to meet me.

Hey Matt,
I won't be there but, I was wondering if
the group La Bottine Souriante is playing at the festival. If you haven't seen them and they're performing check them out. They
don't have a steel player but they're still
wonderful!
