Here's the text-There's been more news-there will be several live shows released on CD, a la dick's picks, that will be available beginning in April also. This will feature a LOT of Cage work,a nd maybe we'll all finally get that "Portland Women" Live cut that everyone talks about but no one has...
Columbia/Legacy Recordings will be reissuing the first New Riders of the Purple Sage album on Compact Disc on April 8, 2003. This completely remastered edition includes 3 live bonus tracks with Jerry Garcia on pedal steel guitar from the band's final performance at the Fillmore West from July 2, 1971. A newly comprised 12-page booklet includes new liner notes by Rob Bleetstein and a slew of rare photos by Herbie Greene. We'll put up a link to purchase this as soon as it becomes available.
We are very close to issuing the first of what will be many live classic New Riders shows on CD.We are entering a deal with Kufala Records, a company which specializes in issuing live concert material. The first offering will be from April of 1973 and features Keith and Donna Godchaux sitting in with the band. Make sure you sign up on the NRPS Unite email list and you'll be the first to know when it's available.

Hey John, I´m really looking forward to those live recordings (especially those with Cage...) Hope I´ll be able to get some before June so I can take them along on my trip to the mountains!
