I was in Nashville this past week laying down tracks for the singer I work with. Eddie came into the studio one night and we got him to play his Fessenden on a few songs. What a great player and nice guy. He also lent me his Flueger Resonator to use for a few days.
I don't know if Eddie ever reads this forum, but if he does, I want to say thanks for everything. Your a great picker and a great person!
If any of you get a chance to see him pick you won't be disappointed. He's on the road with Darryl Worley. |

Alvin, I hope you dig that Fluger resonator. They are the loudest dobro I've ever heard and have incredible ton. Dan Dugmore uses one also. I will be doing an interview with Marvin Fluger in the new Pedal Steel magazine in February. Eddie was very kind to play that Fluger resonator on the Opry with Darryl Worely. Eddie is a tremendous steel and dobro player. |

Met Eddie a couple of months ago and was a super nice guy as well as picker. Check him out on Daryl's song"FAMILY TREE"on CMT. Jerry built him a super nice Fessy with the VOLS scheme. |

When I first met Eddie about 1987 he came into a nightclub where I used to play. He was playing steel then for Mel McDaniels "Louisiania Staurday Night." He rocked the steel and played some real hot licks.
Later I lost contact with Eddie over the years. Then when I wound up back in my home area playing a Saturday Night Stage Show, I ran into his cousin who played drums.
Turned out, I played steel on his cousin's session dates and we worked together for awhile. Then his cousin wound up being the drummer in my brothers Country Band and still plays with them. We shared alot of good memories of Eddie and those crazy years for me.
All said, Eddie's a fine picker and I wish him well and hope he reads this!
GOD bless!

I never will forget last year when I saw Darryl Worley and Eddie in concert. Eddie's sound was awesome! I'm glad Eddie's on the cover of the new steel magazine. Eddie is a great player. I'd love to tell Eddie about my steel guitar playing. I love that dobro Eddie plays in the "Family Tree" video and I'm glad "I Miss My Friend" went to number one for Darryl and Eddie!
