Hey all, I was pleased to read in the New York Times business section yesterday that although sales of every other genre are down, country sales are actually up 17%!! Now, granted what passes for country these days isn't really my thing, but I was pleased to learn that there will be a few more steelers out there earning a living playing steel guitar, bringing the sound of our favorite instrument to the rabble, and all that. The article asserted that we have the Dixie Chicks, Shania, Faith (uh, wait a minute) and Kenny Chesney, among others to thank for this. Anyway, I was surprised, I thought country sales were down.
