The January issue of Guitar One magazine has a feature article on Sacred Steel that includes Robert Randolph, the Campbell Bros, Willie Eason, and others. I haven't seen it yet, but Chuck Campbell says it's very nice.

I just picked up a copy of Guitar One. The article is really nice. When is the last time there was a two-page spread photo of a band featuring two steel guitars included in a magazine you can by at a grocery store?
I love the Robert Randolph quote: "If I'm the Stevie Ray Vaughn of sacred steel players, then Calvin Cooke is the Muddy Waters."

Hey guys, there was also an article in Guitar Player a few months ago. I have a copy of May 2002 with an article about Robert Randolph who plays a Fessenden. I know that I have seen one more recently about the brothers you mentioned, but I can't seem to find it right now. Just got back from 2 weeks in Florida and Nashville, so I am a little unorganized. If I find it, I will post it for you.
Jerry Fessenden probably knows the issue, since his guitars were featured.

I found it! It is he November 2002 issue of Guitar Player Magazine. There is a record review of The Campbell Brothers' latest CD. It looks interesting. Also with this issue, came an issue of Frets with Jerry Douglas on the cover, and a great article on the inside.

I went and bought that issue just to see the Randolph article. Back in the old days I used to suscribe to Guitar player magazine just to read the Rusty Young, and Jeff Newman articles.
