Setting here reading up on the forum and Ray Steven's "Misty" came on the radio and I realized I have never known who did the steel work on the cut. - |

Jay Dee's playing on "Misty" makes that record one of required listening among those having classic steel breaks-almost as definative as Brumley on "Together Again" or Issaacs on "Slowly"-But if you want to hear one of my favorites by Jay Dee check out the flipside of David Frizzel and Shelly West's "I Just Came Here To Dance" which is a neat version of "OUR DAY WILL COME" that was done up in a "countryfied" style like "Misty" [This message was edited by PAUL WARNIK on 09 December 2002 at 11:53 AM.] |
